Has Anyone Tried The Kindle Or Kindle 2? Just Books Or Mag’s/newspapers Too? Kindle Or Netbook? Opinions?
I have a Digital Subscription for Scientific American Mag and I am looking for a portable reader to take with me because I’m sick of being stuck in my office to read um’.
The Kindle 2 is REALLY expensive so if I’m going to save up that kind of cash, I’m debating between a Kindle 2 or one of those NetBooks. At least with a netbook, you can do more then just read black and white.
What is your experience with either a Kindle or a Netbook?
Thanks for any info you can provide!

I think the Kindle 2 and netbook are completely different things. The netbook is designed for Internet browsing and various computer operation, while the Kindle 2 is designed for reading with broad wireless coverage. You can of course do more things on netbook, but for reading it will not be as convenient and comfortable as the Kindle 2.
You can just carry the Kindle to read even when you are standing and without a table in front of you, you can “listen” to books with your hands and eyes free through the text-to-speech function, you can download the ebooks or read BLOGs / simple websites you like anywhere (even on bus, just anywhere with whispernet coverage), and screen is designed for best reading comfort, all these cannot be done by netbook. Kindle books and the newpaper/magazine subscription are cheaper than actual books too, as you can see in the links below:http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i…http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i…
In short, if you functions other than reading is a must have, then it is no doubt to choose netbook. If the main purpose is for reading, then definitely it is the Kindle 2.
The best place you can do your research is in the actual customer review section on Amazon:http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i…
